Climate change is happening all the time. A reason why climate change is happening is the burning of fossil fuels. Humans driving cars are a big contributor to burning fossil fuels. The Carbon Monoxide leaks out from the exhaust pipe out of the cars, and get trapped in the atmosphere, just like the Carbon Dioxide. Factories and industries is another contributor. The gasses that the facility produces get trapped in the Earth’s atmosphere raising the temperature of the Earth. This is called the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect is an increase in the average temperature of the Earth. It happens because certain gases absorb infrared heat that would normally be radiated into space. Since carbon dioxide absorbs this heat, the more carbon dioxide there is in the atmosphere, the warmer the air will be.
Another reason for climate change is deforestation. Forests are vital for life, home to millions of species, they protect soil from erosion, produce oxygen, store carbon dioxide, and help control climate. Forests play a big role in the carbon cycle on Earth. When forests are cut down, not only does carbon absorption stop, but also the carbon stored in the trees is released into the atmosphere as CO2 if the wood is burned or even if it is left to rot after the deforestation. Deforestation is an important factor in global climate change. Climate change is because of a buildup of carbon dioxide in out atmosphere and if we carry on cutting down the main tool we have to stop this CO2 build up. It is estimated that more than 1.5 billion tons of carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere because of deforestation.
Climate change can have an effect on natural disasters as well. An extreme drought can lead to many forest fires which can burn down. Then deforestation happens. The climate can warm up from the burning of fossil fuels and the glaciers in the colder parts of the planet can melt which can lead to many floods in that area....
