Bible talk about wisdom
Good morning class and fellow students today I am going to talk wisdom, and how we can use it in our daily life. But first let me ask a question to the class. What is Wisdom? What is the purpose of wisdom? Knowledge guided by insight and understanding. Reverence for God is the source of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10). In order to receive wisdom we must ask God for this guidance in our time of need. For example, if we are being pressured by our peers, asking God for wisdom would be the smart choice to make. Wisdom is more valuable than riches and will always guide us towards God never away from him. Verses
2 Chronicles 1:10-11 “Give me now wisdom and knowledge to go out and come in before this people, for who can govern this people of yours, which is so great?” God answered Solomon, “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked possessions, wealth, honor, or the life of those who hate you, and have not even asked long life, but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself that you may govern my people over whom I have made you king, wisdom and knowledge are granted to you. Now I am going to read a story on how Solomon used wisdom in a time of need. Story
“Then two women called upon Solomon, asking him to determine which of the two of them should be awarded a disputed infant. Both mothers claimed to have given birth to the baby. Since they couldn't decide, Solomon came up with what sounded like a logical idea. He suggested the baby be cut and split between the two women. When one of the women immediately understood that the beloved child would be killed, she no longer cared whether she got to raise him. All she wanted was that he be safe. The other potential mother didn't care: she wanted her piece. Solomon decided the real mother -- or at least the one who should be the real mother -- was the one who would rather give up her child than see it be destroyed.” In this verse it is clear Solomon used God’s wisdom...
