The College of Engineering provides learners with the skills and foundations for careers and advancement in engineering, technology, and related fields. It offers innovative and market-appropriate programs and curricula designed to prepare the students for the demands of the Engineering profession.
B.S. Industrial Engineering (BSIE)
The FAITH Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering program empowers its graduates to become engineering professionals competent in the area of production systems, operations research, ergonomics and total product design. It involves an in depth as well as holistic knowledge of the different engineering processes involved in industrial production systems and their interrelationships with the management operations that run the enterprise. Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (BSIE)
Three to five years after graduation, FAITH alumni in Industrial Engineering will:
• Advance their practice as successful Industrial Engineer professionals to uplift society. • Enhance their promotion of professionalism in Industrial Engineering practice.
These Program Educational Objectives are consistent with the FAITH's mission and they are responsive to the needs of the constituents.
BSIE Student Outcomes
By the time of graduation, the students in the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering program will be able to:
a. Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering; b. Design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data; c. Design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability; d. Function on multi-disciplinary teams to accomplish common goal; e. Identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems;
f. Understand professional, ethical, legal, security and social issues and responsibilities; g. Communicate effectively with a range of audiences;
h. Analyze the local and global impact of engineering solutions on individuals, organizations and society i. Recognize the need for, and an ability to engage in continuing professional development; j. Knowledge of contemporary issues; and
