Thick plates are cut into length by plasma cutter or gas cutter and thin plates will be cut by shear machine. Apart from rolling, HSM is also responsible for packaging and dispatching the Finished products from HSM directly to the external customers. Bell annealing furnace is also a part of HSM, which is used to process some specific 400 series coils. Grades like 430, 430RF3, 409L, are annealed in Bell annealing furnace before rolling further in cold rolling mills. Plate finishing section provides the facility to process the black plates, so as to deliver to customer.
