LENN GOODMAN RELATIVISM AND MORALITY
Moral decisions are made on the everyday aspects of life. A minority of moral decisions made are right and not all are wrong. In Relativism the idea that one’s beliefs and values are understood interns of one’s society, culture, or even one’s own individual values (Mosser, p.22).. There’s a possibility that some issues are wrong and some are right? In an article "Some Moral Minima," Lenn Goodman argues that there are certain things that are simply wrong like judging morals before we understand. In this paper I will explain why I feel Goodman is right about most of the arguments.

Lenn Goodman talked about terrorism, murder, rape, slavery, genocide, polygamy, and incest in “Some Moral Minima.” In society-oral minima is genocide which encompasses politically instigated famine and germ warfare. Second, the act of terrorism that also includes kidnapping and child labor force especially as warriors. Next is polygamy which may be extended to cover the topic slavery. Rape and female genital mutilation are also another category (Goodman, 2010, p.89). Majority of what he has outlined in his arguments in the eyes of most of the civilized population is regarded as acts directed to deny human beings the right to a comfortable life and as such immoral. Lenn Goodman morals basically discusses that every person whether it be man, woman or child has the right to live and be free from any and all inhuman treatment. Goodman’s main understanding is not to be quick on judging things we don’t understand but to judge those things that are not morally right. I believe that all people are equal and have the right to live their own life as do the violators should have no rights to commit these unruly acts of wrong.
