1.In what sense do Moral Laws/norms seen as source of values that will help individuals attain what it means to be an image of God? Explain using the Ten Commandments. Moral Laws are formed by the 10 commandments. These will teach us how we should live as the children of God, what are the moral acts to be done and immoral acts to be avoided. Violating both the Moral Laws and Ten Commandments will give us punishments. The moral laws will give us punishment based on the government. While on the other hand, violating the Ten Commandments will make our souls impure. Following these two will make us live the Christian moral life. 2. How does the Sermon on the Mount help individuals form a vision of what it means to be a moral being created in the image of God? -The Sermon on the Mount contains Christian ethics, and beatitudes meaning it will make out faith in God to be strengthened. It also shows us Jesus teaching us how to pray and act in the reflection of being in the image of God. It also shows us the acts to be followed towards our neighbor. It also shows us how we can become an image of God and a person with faith to God. 3. In what way have they been forming you in becoming a moral agent? -They make me act morally and be an image of God by following the Ten Commandments, giving me lessons that I will not understand without living it. It guides to in living the Christian moral life and making me understand that following His teachings will not limit our freedom but it will make us more free for we have pure soul and clean conscience. God knows what’s the best for us so following His commandments are for the better results and towards a good future.
