.Communism and Capitalism are both the theories that represent two extreamely different ways of thinking. Capitalism is very individualistic and promotes class distinction, while Communism believes in putting the people before self and that everyone is equall. The communism vs Capitalism debate had been goin on since the communism idea was brought into practice in the early 1900's. The Communism vs Capitalism clash was at an all time high during the cold war, where he Capitalist Americans and Communist Soviet Union almost attacked eachother with nuclear weapons. This would have caused would wide destruction and life as we know it today would not be the same. This essay will explore many of the dimensions of the Communist vs Capitalist debate, and explores the two ideologies while comparing their points of difference.

.Most people do not understand the litteral meaning of Communism. This makes it very easy for Governments to minipulate it's people to believe that Communism is an evil way of governing one's country. But the Communist theory is that every one is equall and every one works for the good of the people. No one person should own land but its is owned by the state, by the state i mean the whole community of people. In communism, ideally, if all of mankind was of saintly nature and selfless, the distribution of power would be equal. All decisions would be made by democratic means and there would be no unjust rules favoring a few.

.To fully understand Communism we must first analyze where it came from. Communsim was developed from the ideas of Karl Marx. These ideas are what we know today as Marxism. Marxism can be viewed as a response to the disclocations and suffering of the working class in the early stages of the industrail revolution in Great Britian and Western Europe (Fainsod). This can be summed up as a theory in which class struggle is the most important element in the analysis of change in Wetern societies. We have seen such actions happen in places such as the Soviet Union, where the working class revolted against the rich upper class and took over the government. No country has ever had a communist system of Government. The counties that we call "Communist" are countries where the dominant political party is the Communist party. Even though no country has ever had a communist system of government, there are many exampls of countries who have used some of these ideas to form there own means of government.

.There have been many forms of communist Governments around the world. Two of the most famous are the former Soviet Union (USSR) and the People's Republic of China. Even though the Soviet Union has fallen, it still has remained as a huge influence of present day communist states such as China.

.The Soviet Union was a single-party political system dominated by the communist party from 1922 to 1991(O'laughlin). It consisted of 15 different Soviet Socialist Republics which included Russia, Ukrain, Belorus, Uzbek, kazakh, Goergia, Azerbaigan, Lithuania, Moldavia, Latvia, Kirghiz, Tajik, Armania, Turke, and Estonia (Bocco). The Soviet Union was the largest and longest lived Socialist State. It covered an area of 22,402,200 square km, and had an estimated population of 293,000,000 (Bocco). The Soviet Union was formed as the result of a weak Russian Monarchy, over three years of unsuccesfull fighting durring ww1. USSR was offically founded in December of 1922 (levi). The collaps of the Soviet Union was primarily caused by political and economic issues. The Soviet Union lost the arms race and international competition with the west. The United States was able to profit from the explotation of other countries while the USSR could only lose in that competition (salvo). All of the goods were being used up by the Soviet military and there was nothing left for the people, or to be exported for trade.
