Purpose of this assignment
Through this assignment the learner will learn and will be able to demonstrate how to gather information and present it in a suitable format so that appropriate business decisions can be made. The assignment also underpins the basics of data gathering and presentation needed for the Research Project. In the first instance, learners do not need to understand the mathematical derivation of formulae but they will need to learn how to use spreadsheets and other software for data analysis. This includes the manipulation of numbers e.g. calculation of measures of dispersion and representative values and the preparation of information e.g. forecasting and reporting results.

You are a partner and also work as a business consultant in a company called Capital Consultant which provides variety of business management consultancy services on wide range of issues. Your company has been approached by Mr. Graeme Craig, the business development director at TFL (travel for London) to seek an advice on bus service on route No 23.
