Using the information provided in the Harvard Business School case “Genzyme’s CSR Dilemma: How to Play its HAND” and Exhibit 1: Comparative Analysis of Alternatives, (attached) your task is to provide a written report that: 1.
Identifies and explains the dilemma Genzyme is facing.
Evaluates the various project proposals being considered. 3.
Recommends specific alternatives to Termeer and the Board, justifying your recommendations. 4.
Satisfies an extremely demanding Board of Directors, which expects to see that you use appropriate analytical and decision-making tools learned in the course of your MBA program when conducting your analysis and reaching your conclusions.
Your report should adhere to the following guidelines:
The length of the paper must not exceed 4 pages (5 pages if you choose to include two or more charts or graphics)
Formatting must be space-and-a-half, 12-point Times New Roman font, with 1” margins.
Properly cite the Genzyme case whenever appropriate. Make sure that any quotations are clearly denoted.
Do not use supplemental information about the company or the external environment that has not been included in the case and attached materials.
